Domaine Jean-Pierre Bailly, located in the heart of the Pouilly-Fumé appellation, is a sixth-generation family estate now overseen by Patrice Bailly. The estate’s 17 hectares of Sauvignon Blanc vines are planted on the region’s distinctive calcareous soils, producing wines with exceptional character.
The 2023 vintage was outstanding, marked by ideal growing conditions and fruit-forward, fresh grapes harvested between September 7th and 19th. The wine was crafted with meticulous care, with fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks and aging on fine lees for three to four months to enhance complexity and texture.
This Pouilly-Fumé reveals an expressive nose of peach, citrus, and white flowers, supported by an elegant minerality. The palate is vibrant and fresh, with a citrus-driven character that lingers through the long, mineral finish. This is a refined expression of Sauvignon Blanc, perfectly reflecting the unique terroir of the Loire Valley.
