This wine starts with that classic Marlborough herbal and ripe capsicum notes (no gooseberries!) and then all of a sudden you get some melon, then sweet passion fruit aromas layered in there.
The brief: perfectly subtle, pink, fresh New Zealand fruity essence, dry – but eminently drinkable. The blending components each offered different qualities: summer berries with one, citrus with another, richness and stone fruits in the last piece of the puzzle.
For those times when nothing else will do but a big tasty glass of in- your-face Australian shiraz – curl up in front of the fire or enjoy that BBQ steak with Graham Norton’s latest vintage!
